Kia Ora! I'm Claudette, the owner and operator of C’s Canine Cuts, where I’m dedicated to providing professional grooming services for your beloved canine companions.
Having lived in Upper Hutt my entire life, I’m proud to call this beautiful community home. Alongside my husband, we’ve raised our family here, sharing our lives with many dogs, cats, and even a few too many rabbits (and the occasional fish!). Over the years, I’ve been deeply involved in various community sports, supporting both junior and senior citizens throughout Upper Hutt and greater Wellington. Before diving into the world of dog grooming, I spent many years in IT, working with Telecommunications, Major Government Agencies, and Corporate Banking—experiences that have only furthered my attention to detail and commitment to service.
I’m passionate about animal care, which is why I pursued formal training at the NZ Pet Grooming Academy and completed Pet First Aid courses.

I regularly engage with industry-leading experts to ensure I’m always up to date with the latest grooming techniques and best practices.
At C’s Canine Cuts, I cater to dogs of all types and sizes, whether it’s a simple nail trim or a full groom. I’m confident that I have a service to meet your canine’s grooming needs, ensuring they look and feel their best.

Dog grooming is all about keeping your fur baby healthy, while looking and feeling their best!

Our pets are exposed to a variety of germs daily, and regular vet care combined with grooming helps keep
them healthy and can minimise exposure to unwanted germs.

A consistent grooming program will:
Prevent Oil and Dirt Build-up: Regular grooming helps avoid unpleasant smells and keeps the coat clean.
Reduce Ticks and Fleas: Frequent brushing, along with proper flea and tick treatments, helps keep these pests at bay.
Maintain Skin and Coat Health: Regular grooming ensures your dog’s skin and coat are in optimal condition.

A regular grooming schedule that includes brushing, trimming, bathing, nail inspection and clipping, eye and ear cleaning, is essential for a Healthy Happy Dog.

Hygiene before Vanity!
